Liberal churches bless abortion mega-centre as sacred space

I wish I could say this was fake news, but it appears to be real. An abortion mega-clinic in Washington D.C. was recently opened with an interfaith blessing ceremony:
Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and secular leaders gathered inside Planned Parenthood Metro Washington’s new Carol Whitehill Moses health center on Tuesday to perform a blessing of the space.

The event, co-hosted by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, included interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about why it was important ― politically and spiritually ― for women to have autonomy over their own bodies.

These churches have become secularised to the point that they are accepting the liberal value of autonomy as the overriding good. To underline this point one of the female ministers made a piece of visual art during the ceremony which she called "Liberation for Blessed Choice":

Another participant, Dr Willie Parker, thought that women made "sacred decisions" at the clinic.

Here's a picture of the female drumming troupe which opened the ceremony:

  1. Any church / religion is suspect, pay no attention to them, they only want your money and care nothing for the soul, if we have one.

    1. These are liberal minds attempting to make sacred what they believe in as liberals. The foolishness of this, though, is that liberalism itself has a secular orientation - liberals believe that there is nothing external to the individual and his choices that has value, which means that the liberal individual wants to usurp the place normally given to God, the role of Creator.

Not all churches are as bad as this, though many seem peculiarly uninspired.

  2. I don't know whether they did it for money or to try and stay modern, but their respective deities will decide what to do with them when the time comes.
If I belonged to any of their flocks I'd demand a change in leadership or leave.
Bit like how I liked the principles of Family First until my local member was a single mother who'd kicked her husband out.
If the leaders are gutless and face unpopular opinion, how the hell can they seriously expect us to believe that they'd face anything more.

    1. A few years ago I knew a woman who was frivorcing her husband. I asked her which party she was voting for, and without any self-awareness at all she replied "Family First". I was a bit shocked, but she just didn't seem to see the incongruity of the situation.

The lesson seems to be that if you put the word "family" into your name you get the benefit of the associated "feelz" even if you don't actually do anything to support family life.

  5. The only difference between these 'religions' and the satanists is that the former are even more dishonest.

Agreed. Mainstream Christianity is now a mortal threat to our civilisation.
