Left turns mercenary

Not entirely sure what to make of this but the Washington Times is reporting that newspaper adverts have been placed in more than 20 American cities offering leftists up to $2500 to agitate at Donald Trump's inauguration.

If so, it means that some serious money is being put into building an opposition to Donald Trump. In other words, this is not spontaneous grassroots activism, but is being organised and funded professionally by a part of the elite who feel that their political and economic interests don't align with Trump.

Update: a reader alerted me to the fact that this sort of thing was also happening during the election itself. There is another Washington Times story from October 2016 which has the details.

The gist of it is that Project Veritas caught figures linked to the Democrat Party (and to George Soros) on tape admitting that they paid people to disrupt Trump rallies and were successful in having a Chicago rally shut down after they initiated violence. Part of their strategy was to try to deliberately provoke Trump supporters into retaliation. From the newspaper story:
Two top Democratic strategists have exited the presidential campaign after explosive undercover videos showed them discussing voter fraud and their roles in planting paid agitators at campaign events for Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Robert Creamer, founder of Democracy Advocates and the husband of Rep. Janice D. Schakowsky, Illinois Democrat, stepped down from the campaign Tuesday, a day after Scott Foval was fired from his post as national field director of Americans United for Change.

And how about this:
Another activist, Zulema Rodriguez, told the Project Veritas investigators, “I just had a call today with the campaign and the DNC. Every day at 1 o’clock.”

She also took credit for being involved with two anti-Trump events in March: the Chicago rally and another in Arizona in which anti-Trump protesters blocked a highway.

Federal Election Commission records unearthed by Project Veritas show that Ms. Rodriguez was paid nearly $2,000 on Feb. 29 by the Hillary for America campaign.

In conversations with Project Veritas reporters, Mr. Foval described his operation as “bird dogging,” meaning that he places hired protesters in key positions at Republican campaign events, often in front of rallies or lines.

He said he has training centers in New York, Washington, Las Vegas, Colorado and Minneapolis, and that trainees include the mentally ill and homeless people.

Here is the Project Veritas video:

It's interesting because I always thought that the leftist radicals/agitators were doing the work of the wealthy globalists, but I thought they were doing it naively and foolishly - I hadn't realised they were actually being paid to do it. The connection between the two groups is much closer than I originally thought.

It makes me wonder what other groups are getting funded by globalist hedge fund managers, e.g. is antifa being funded/organised in this way?

  1. Soros was only paying $1,600 during the primaries. The rabble has gotten a raise.

    1. Thanks for this, I checked out your comment and found a whole lot of information about this sort of thing happening during the election campaign itself. I've added it to the post.

  2. This is nothing new. The elites have always paid the masses to do their bidding. The whole leftist project which forces people to think and act in ways contrary to their own interest succeeded because it was backed by big money. Money is top or close to top on the priorities of those who don't have it. Therefore the globalist elites implemented their policies over many years by recruiting and incentivising with money and prestige, people who were of mediocre ability, low social background and modest talent (and few morals) to implement their agenda. Hence the rise of Tony Blair, a failed lawyer with a poor track record at the Bar who suddenly rose to the heights of power and wealth because he lacked scruples and was willing to do anything to get money. Bill Clinton is another who comes to mind in politics.

In other fields there are similar figures, people plucked from obscurity to prominence on account of their willingness to be bribed to act against the interests of people. There are many scientists who have pushed dodgy research presented to the masses as proven facts, writers who have pushed ideologies and journalists who have published lies. Your own Germaine Greer would appear to be such a person. Plucked from obscurity to prominence with large publishing advances to push a specific agenda.

There are many Judas like people in society. The global elites specialise in scouring the arts, the universities and the professions to find them. The perverted and the immoral or amoral can be easily blackmailed and bribed to follow the masters agenda wittingly or unwittingly. That is another reason why society is ruled by women and homosexuals, both easily bribed, the former on account of their weakness and the latter on account of their perversion.

Ultimately the above is the reason why democracy, meritocracy and non hierarchical societies can never act in the interests of the majority. They always end up subverted by money.

Thousands if not millions of people in America need cash now and $2500 is a decent amount. Few people when offered this cash to stand around for a few hours will refuse it so we should expect the demonstrations to be huge, a new maidan as happened in the Ukraine. However Trump seems to have the support of the military so the attempted coup will fail.

    1. I agree with you regarding Greer. She was catapulted to influence within the media/academia. She fit the agenda.

    2. Yes Germaine had a strong academic performance at university but she was obviously willing to accept big money and publicity and celebrity status which was excessive for her literary achievements to push the agendas and ideologies of elitists. If
she had not, she would have remained an obscure academic teaching her subject like any other academic.

Greer is interesting because she has occasional moments of genuine insight. Such as her belief that women writers, rather than being oppressed, have been disadvantaged because they've had it too easy and have been given excessively favourable treatment for the past two hundred years.

And the third-wave feminists mostly hate her guts so she must be doing something right.

Admittedly, more often than not she's been spectacularly wrong.

I'm not sure she's been a mere tool in the hands of the elites. That was certainly their hope but she's too wildly unpredictable for them to regard her as a reliable useful idiot.

Yes! In Sweden, there are several well documented cases of Soros giving money to what can best be called the political wing of antifa (called AFA in Sweden). These are organizations that are run by AFA veterans, many with extensive criminal records. However, most of the funding comes, directly or indirectly, from the state.

As a relevant side note, given all the discussions about hacking, it may be relevant to note that AFA in Sweden has been working with large scale and systematic hacking for many, many years. They have used every trick in the book to get hold of personal information about supporters of the anti-immigration party.

The most well known story is that they got personal info out of the commenting system Disqus. This was done by a group now calling themselves ResearchGruppen, but the old name was AFA documentation. The Swedish MSM then played along with AFA and many regular people got TV teams coming to their homes and got publicly branded as racist.

  4. This sort of thing has been going on for a very long time. I would like to recommend the works of Dr. E. Michael Jones, Fr. Fahey, Msgr. Jouin, Leon de Poncins, Roger Gougenot des Mousseaux, The Nameless War by Captain Archibald Maule Ramsay and The History of Jacobinism by the Abbe Barruel for those interested in learning more about such machinations and the malevolent personages behind them.
