My little toddler daughter is very affectionate but hasn't said much yet. So I thought it very cute when I came home today and said hello to her and she replied "Hello Daddy" - not quite her first words (she can say something that sounds like "yes") but still a wonderful moment for me.
It only gets better, we're just about to hit 2 years and each week my little angel keeps provides more gems for her Daddy.
ReplyDeletecongrats Mark.
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Wish you the best. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's great. I think its sad that for all the lefties talk of "future generations" in the environmentalism debate they see kids as of such a low priority, or as the enemy to be put off or avoided. The simmple or obvious things and joys, such as propagating and training up future generations, are not things that can be ignored or taken for granted :).
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a very exciting moment for you Mr. Richardson! Congratulations, and may you be blessed with many more of these in the future.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, last month I watched a movie in which the relationship between a father and daughter, which is taken from him, was very painfully illustrated. I recommend: Synecdoche to all. However, be warned, it's not a very uplifting film - but it does have a conservative message.
Ironically, your joyous experiance reminded me of the movie.
Many congrats and wish you many more such wonderful memories!
